I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I was able to come back to Minnesota for Thanksgiving. My brothers and I are throwing my mom a party for her 80th birthday. The party is tomorrow at mom and dad's house. It is easier this way since dad has a hard time getting around. I flew in on Wednesday evening. My niece, Marie (aka Baldy), was kind enough to loan me her 'SWEET' ride (aka 85 Taurus).
I attended Sam's hockey game today. He is now in Peewee league so that means this is the first year he can check. Being the upstanding Aunt that I am I have a little agreement with Sam prior to the game. If he gives me a proud wave from the box he gets $10 and for every decent check he gets $5. Well he came through plus some - he waved plus 2 checks plus he scored his very first goal! Since he plays defense this was not even on the list. He comes up to me after the game, gives me a big hug and points out that I owe him $20. I of course had known this since I had it ready to give him. He is hilarious!
I am totally moved into my new place. It is an ideal location. 4 miles from work and 4 miles from my favorite beach! Life is great!! I will post pictures soon. My living room and dining room furniture arrives December 6th.
