I am catching up on all my chores/errands this weekend ~ Fun, Fun. I was talking with Hilary who lives in the basement apartment and she stated that she was still having mice issues. I told her I would check out my entire apartment since I had not had issues since the landlord sealed my cupboards. I was moving everything around while I was cleaning looking for signs of still having issues. Everything was appearing that the problem had gone away until I was emptying out my extra bedroom closet. I was moving things around and de-cluttering when all of a sudden I see something dart out to my foot. I screamed like a little girl! I scared the crap out of the mouse and it ran back into the closet. Spike, a terrier bred to deal with hunting varmint, did not come to my rescue. He decided that he was going to hang in the front room looking out the window. I called for Spike, he thought he was in trouble so he went to the kitchen and into his crate. I then had to call for him to come to the extra bedroom. He came but with his tail between the legs and didn't want to come into the extra bedroom. I then closed the door and made Spike stand guard while I developed the game plan. My poor dog. I baited a trap and also got two glue traps ~ placed them all in the closet and closed the door. I then put a glue trap down on the floor outside the closet door. I still have not caught anything but am so bummed. They are not getting into any food of mine so unless I have the Nicole Richie of mice they really have nothing to get into food wise.

UGH! Spike and I have had talks about how worthless of a hunter and he is going to attempt on stepping it up. If only I had a squirrel living in my house then he would have his game on.

Spike is now sporting his Summer cut. He looks so skinny when he has NO hair! I picked him up from the groomers and he was so happy he seriously was prancing around. He cracks me up. The weather has been beautiful so Spike is enjoying his long walks.

Jen and I met up yesterday for pedicures. We then grilled at their place afterwards.

    Rhys is getting so big.

Ysabel wanted me to put her singing talents on my web site. ENJOY!

Spring has arrived! Flowers are in bloom. Spike and I went for a long walk this morning and Spike has a classic moment. We are walking by some very expensive homes by the Hamilton Park area in Weehawken. This one home has a large statue of a lion on an outside bench that is connected to their outdoor fence. We are walking toward the lion and Spike gets on notice of another animal being present. Spike goes up to the lion and has to smell the lions backside. I start roaring in laughter. I thought Westies are suppose to be a smart breed, mine must have been dropped as a puppy. Spike is hilarious.

It is going to be a nice weekend. The sun is coming out and it will be in the high 50's today. I am so glad not to be in Minnesota - they got snow yesterday.

Change of plans for the weekend. I am not going to Atlantic City. I will be heading to Brooklyn to have dinner on Saturday night at Kristin and Joe's house. I also hope to catch up on work.

I was walking to my car after work. I had parked on a pier. The pier has an absolutely breathtaking view of Manhattan. My car was being featured in a tourist photo shoot. They were taking turns standing next to my car and having the view of the city in the background. I was watching this my entire walk ~ about 5 minutes.
