I am catching up on all my chores/errands this weekend ~ Fun, Fun. I was talking with Hilary who lives in the basement apartment and she stated that she was still having mice issues. I told her I would check out my entire apartment since I had not had issues since the landlord sealed my cupboards. I was moving everything around while I was cleaning looking for signs of still having issues. Everything was appearing that the problem had gone away until I was emptying out my extra bedroom closet. I was moving things around and de-cluttering when all of a sudden I see something dart out to my foot. I screamed like a little girl! I scared the crap out of the mouse and it ran back into the closet. Spike, a terrier bred to deal with hunting varmint, did not come to my rescue. He decided that he was going to hang in the front room looking out the window. I called for Spike, he thought he was in trouble so he went to the kitchen and into his crate. I then had to call for him to come to the extra bedroom. He came but with his tail between the legs and didn't want to come into the extra bedroom. I then closed the door and made Spike stand guard while I developed the game plan. My poor dog. I baited a trap and also got two glue traps ~ placed them all in the closet and closed the door. I then put a glue trap down on the floor outside the closet door. I still have not caught anything but am so bummed. They are not getting into any food of mine so unless I have the Nicole Richie of mice they really have nothing to get into food wise.
UGH! Spike and I have had talks about how worthless of a hunter and he is going to attempt on stepping it up. If only I had a squirrel living in my house then he would have his game on.
