I spent the day in the Upper East Side for the Oktoberfest celebration in Yorkville. It was a great event ~ shopping bazaar and music (heard Eidelweiss and The Too Fat Polka). Lindsay and I had to pose with a member from the band.

Lindsay and I loved the people watching. There was this adorable little girl dancing to the beat of the music. At the very end this gentleman arrived and wanted to take over the dance floor (aka the street). What was so odd was that he was wearing this neck brace. I immediately conjured up an image of a peacock ~ strutting around and commanding presence. We (Lindsay and I ~ and even the band) were definitely entertained.

I couldn't believe the great restaurants that are on 2nd Avenue within a three block area. We caught dinner at Wasabi Lobby ~ seriously great sushi. I guess that didn't really fit the Oktoberfest celebration from earlier that day.

Let me introduce you to Phil. I won the raffle which includes a $150 gift certificate to Azafran in Tribeca accompanied by Phil.

    Hello

I apologize that I haven't updated my web site. I have been so busy. I just got back from Vegas. I was attending Shop.org Annual Summit. I was able to find my way to the casino for 2 hours and played craps for the first time. I was able to walk away with a profit. This only happened due to playing with friends and getting advice on how I should play.

My friend Annie stayed with Spike and spoiled him rotten.

Spent Saturday in Brooklyn at Kristin's house.

    Ysabel, Kora and Kate

Kate's first picture on my web site without a mullet!!!! She is so happy with her new look.

Kora - hamming it up for the camera
I do love that she is such a girly girl! Please note that when Kora was born Kristin gave strict orders that NO baby clothes could contain the color pink. HA! HA! HA!

This was taken on Memorial Day ~ Jennifer and Rhys

Central Park ~ We enjoyed dancing skaters (inline and roller). The atmosphere in the park is such a shift from the streets of NYC.

Ysabel and Suzy. Ysabel picked out Suzy, the only pink bear at Build-A-Bear. Suzy has quite the outfits and look going. She even talks! She says "Hey Girlfriend!" "Let's Go Shopping" "You look Great" ~ it was a winner due to "Hey Girlfriend!"

We met Jennifer, Shane and Ysabel at Calle Ocho ~ my favorite Sunday brunch spot.

Jeff and Astrid got engaged Saturday night during a carriage ride in Central Park. I was hanging out at Pazza Notte waiting to celebrate.

We took the ferry from Port Imperial to Midtown. It was a gorgeous night.

Here we are at Peep. We really had a great time due to 2 awesome bartenders.

We took the path train from Jersey City to the World Trade Center. We walked around the area then up through City Hall into Chinatown and Little Italy.

We took the light rail from Weehawken to Jersey City and met up with Jennifer, Ysabel, Cheryl and Barry.

Astrid and Jeff flew in late on Thursday. I am on tour guide mode! If you go back to view Andrea's or Jean and Marie's visit you may see a lot of commonalities. :-) What do you expect????

Jeff and Astrid standing in Times Square. We are trying to be creative since it is posed by a "No Standing Anytime" sign.

We walked from Times Square to Central Park. We dined on burgers at the Burger Joint (of course)!

From Central Park we walked to Grand Central Station. We wanted to grab cocktails at The Campbell Apartment but there was a 'dress code issue' so we then made our way via Subway and Path to Hoboken.

In Hoboken we stopped at the 340 Grill and enjoyed beverages and appetizers.

We then went to Weehawken and took a nap before heading back into the city (SOHO and the Meat Packing District).
