Miss Teen South Carolina. It is a classic! (US Americans)
Just one more reason not to move south of the Mason Dixon line ever again. I would rather be a Yankee . . . . .

Hello! The weekend is flying by so fast.
Ysabel turns 3 on Tuesday! Do you remember feeling this way?

Andrea's last night in the city. We started out the by meeting at McSorley's. It is quite the experience. They have two kinds of beer ~ light or dark.

Andrea is in town! I picked her up from the airport on Wednesday evening. She went into Manhattan yesterday and met up with Jennifer. Andrea also got to meet Rhys.
SCARE of my life tonight! I had grilled an unbelievable dinner and when I let Spike out at night to do 'his business' I went to put the grill cover back over the grill. All of a sudden I notice this huge blob on the cover. I first thought it was cat crap but then it started MOVING!!! Flippin' A this sucks!!! I titled the picture below appropriately as 'WTF'! Seriously! I thought I saw huge bugs in North Carolina. I will be hosing off the grill cover tomorrow. YUCK!!!!!!

Shane, Rhys and Ysabel ~ Rhys is 3 pounds 12 ounces. Rhys is gaining about an ounce a day! Check out Ysabel's tattoo on her arm.

It's Saturday morning and Spike and I are just heading out for our morning walk. Spike thinks this should have happened two hours earlier. He went for two short walks yesterday since it rained all day. We even had to break out Spike's rain coat during the morning walk since it was really coming down. I know it sounds goofy but seriously, do you like the smell of a wet dog????
This week is flying! I cannot believe it is Thursday. Spike is adjusting from me not working at home to being gone all day. It has been really humid and hot this week so our walks have been shortened.
Carol's Public Service Announcement: I wanted to enlighten my readers of two great numbers . . .
I met up with my friend Kris last night. She is in town on business. It was great getting all caught up. We went to WinedUp in the Flatiron district.
Hello! Sometimes I can be the biggest tool! Spike had a grooming appointment in Hoboken today. It is about 2 1/2 miles from my apartment. Spike and I walked down to Hoboken, stopped at the dog park and then went to his grooming appointment. I then walk back to my apartment and once I get on the front step I realize that the keys to my apartment are on Spike's leash. I call my landlord. His phone goes directly into his voicemail. I then turn around and walk back to Hoboken. I stop for the biggest bottle of Gatorade. Oh, I forgot to mention that it is in the high 80's and extremely humid. I then stop for lunch at a restaurant since now it is about an hour and a half from when Spike will be done. I had an unbelievable salad and then proceed to get Spike. Spike and I walk about 14 blocks and I receive a phone call from Jen and Shane. They are about two blocks away from us so they drive us the rest of the way ~ which is AWESOME since we had two killer size hills left on our walk home. We are now home.
Met up with Annie, Brad and Lindsay at Bluechili in Midtown. We had unbelievable sushi!
