I am getting close to having everything wrapped up in Durham. It is a beautiful fall day and the trees are in full color. I was able to drive around today with the convertible top down ~ 70's and windy.

My neighbor Pam gave Spike this bandana so of course it makes the web site!

My townhome went on the market yesterday. Needless to say Monday and Tuesday was spent cleaning, decluttering and staging my home. They are going to do a 360 degree tour of the house so look for that in the future.

Spike and I leave on Halloween morning to go back to Minnesota. I always like to leave a property once it goes on the market. I am planning on being in town until the end of November. Everything is contingent on the job search. I am talking with many great companies many thanks to a great network of friends and colleagues.

    See you soon

Went to dinner at Clydes near Chinatown. It was great seeing Jennifer Carlson, a friend from Augsburg College.
    At Clydes ~

We then enjoyed a beer at D.A's Regional Food and Drink.

They had the best signs plus the beer list was extensive.

Buffie, Carol and Jennifer Bertsch ~ We enjoyed our breakfast and tried to get caught up on everyone.

I was then off on my own to run around Washington DC. I walked to the White House. (Karla ~ I did go around and have pictures of both the front and the back)

I then headed down to the National Mall ~ The morning started off a little overcast but it did get sunny and warm.

    Captial

I then went to The Library of Congress ~ I took the guided tour. What a great building

Got to love this saying :-)

    Inside The Library of Congress

I then strolled by the Supreme Court

I then checked out the National Portrait Gallery/American Art. What a whirlwind day.

I am off to Washington DC this morning. The drive from Durham to Washington DC should take about 4 1/2 hours it is too bad that it is a rainy day. It will be a college reunion ~ Buffie, Jennifer Bertsch and Jennifer Carlson. Jennifer Bertsch is engaged and will be getting married at the end of April 2007 in Maryland. Jennifer Carlson founded a company, GlobalMediaFund. Buffie is in town attending a conference.

Hello ~ I am highly disappointed with the Invisible Fence Company. My lawn was aerated last week when I was in New York. The aeration caused a breakage in my invisible fence. During the sales process I specifically asked if any lawn work could break my fence. I was assured that the fence is buried low enough that it was not to break. I called the Invisible Fence company today and would have to pay $75+ to have someone come out to fix it. It is then that they informed me that if I would have called prior to aeration they would have come out, marked my lawn and split the fee. I asked if this was documented in any of their sales information since I was unaware of this service. It is not. Needless to say I am not getting it fixed since Spike will only be in North Carolina until October 31st and he still thinks the fence is working.

Another beautiful day in Durham, North Carolina. The high for the day was 68 degrees. I met a highschool friend for lunch, Michelle (Lindberger) Nestler. It was great catching up. It has been too long.

I then took Spike to the dog park. He ran around with his buddy Laika (Sean and Ashley Allison's 6 month old german shepard). Spike was in usual form ~ he is the cheap shot king. Someone would throw a ball and Spike thinks it is his job to intercept the dog going for the ball.

What a week! I attended the Shop.org conference on behalf of MovieGoods, a company I am consulting for at the moment. It was great seeing friends. I went to Brooklyn on Thursday and stayed with Kristin Miller.

It was an Augsburg get together at Bryant Park in Manhattan. It is always so nice when we can spend time together. Be sure to check out
    Darbi's web site.

Kora ~ Got to love the pink dress and boots

Kate is turning one next week and Kora will be three at the beginning of November.

New York ~ Another beautiful day in Manhattan. Tonight is my last night at the Shane and Jen's house.

Ysabel and her cute up-do by Katja her nanny. So adorable!

It was so beautiful out that we had dinner at a local restaurant.

Hello ~ I am off to New York tomorrow. I am excited to spend time with friends (Jen & Shane, Krisi and Joe). Get ready for a lot of pictures. :-)

I really have been enjoying my time off. The fall weather in North Carolina has been unbelievable. But don't worry I have been keeping myself busy. I have been talking with a lot of great companies.

    Thanks for visiting

Marie (Tom and Jean's daughter) went to the homecoming dance last night - she is a freshman this year. She was AWESOME to send pictures to her Aunt Carol. Marie and 3 girl friends went out to eat at The Green Mill and then went to the dance. I could not get a lot of information out of her but I do know that she had fun dancing to Justin Timberlake's new song 'SexyBack'. Who doesn't have fun dancing to that??

I was reading the Sunday paper, drinking my latte in my new sun room when something caught my eye. Two deer were in my woods directly behind my town home. This is quite common, I was just happy to have my camera ready. Spike is intrigued by them but doesn't go after them - WOO HOO for the invisible fence.
