    Arrived into Philadelphia

Special Thanks to Barry and Cheryl Rogich for picking my sorry butt up at the Philly airport. We had a nice trip catching up on our way to Princeton where we met Jen, Shane and Ysabel.

On my b-day we went to China town for DimSum (not sure of spelling) and then Jen and I went SHOPPIN' - Nothing like retail therapy.

We went to the Miller/Lynch household for some great indian food.

What a way to finish off the work week.

I was scheduled for a 3:20 flight into New York City. I got onto the plane at 3:30. They closed the doors and then infomed us that due to weather we would not be taking off. That hour turned into an hour and a half. We then had to go back to the gate to get more fuel. When we got cleared to take off then the computer system failed. They then shut down the plane for 4 minutes. When they restarted it the computer was working. We then were started to taxi. This went on for a while. The pilot then came back on stating that the computer failed again. We then all got off the plane. We were then told that it would take 30 minutes to an hour to put in a new computer. When this was completed we then found out that the flight attendants shift had ended and that the flight was going to take off at 8:15. At 7:35 they canceled the flight.

I then could not get a flight until late afternoon on Saturday into New York City - you see they had canceled so many flights that day. So I am now going to fly into Philadelphia and drive to New York City (thanks to the Rogichs).

This seriously has been a rough week. I hope yours went better.

Hello - The week has definitely been interesting. Kathleen, my boss and friend, is no longer with Motricity. Only two more days until the weekend. This weekend I am going to New York City. It is going to be nice to hang with Jen and Shane.

My furniture finally got delivered today. I will try to take some pictures and get them posted.

    Thanks for visiting

I LOVE having my own web site. Happy Birthday to my brother Tom!

Scroll down for a GREAT picture of him (from Greg's graduation two entries down). HA HA

My brother, Greg, is in Charleston, SC for guard duty. We met today in Charlotte.

We had time to walk around the Uptown area of Charlotte.

Where did the week go? I am a little behind in doing birthday shout outs. This week Greg turned 40! The New Prague Times totally screwed up - when I talked with them they did not state that they could not run the last name. It should have stated.

    Greg Ott is 40!

With these good looks he was destined for sales.

    runner up photos were:

Check out the facial expression on Tom! This makes me laugh every time I see this photo. Now that is FUNNY

Marie is 15 (some of you know her as Baldy - a nickname I came up with 14 years ago when at the age of one she didn't have much hair)

Super Late Shout Outs to David (13) and Ben (got to love the eyes) (8)

    TGIF - SERIOUSLY

It has been one long week. Have you seen Groundhogs Day? I seriously felt that I lived the week over and over and . . . .I am sure you are getting the idea. If you have absolutely no clue what I am talking about you should rent Groundhogs Day (with Bill Murray) to understand.

This week I decided to hand over full control of my social life to some friends in MN. I put Buffie, Karla and Amy in charge of my Match.com account. I have one condition with them - that I get to see the person and verify that I do not work with them otherwise it is a free for all for them. They obviously cannot do any worse than what I am doing. I will keep you posted on this one.

I am heading to New York to visit Jen and Shane for my b-day weekend. We have tickets to see a play. Jen and I are also going to pamper ourselves. I will probably also have to do a little retail therapy.

I put my grill together today. In the booklet it states that it should take around 30 minutes. I believe that is for anyone whose occupation is 'Grill Assembling'. I feel like a frickin' idiot -it took me about one hour and 45 minutes. I did have to track down a neighbor to help put the grill onto the base but still. I christened it by grilling vegetables ~ absolutely delicious.

The Connells concert was fabulous. I had forgotten how many songs I know. The park was packed by the end of their show. It was so packed that I ended up not sticking around for the Spin Doctors (plus they ran out of dark beer).

The furniture company ended up calling me yesterday. The driver was running 1-2 hours behind schedule. I had to make a decision between the furniture and seeing the Connells. If you are reading the blog you obviously know what I decided. For the skimmers in the group - I went to the Connells and will reschedule the furniture delivery.

    Hello

I finally bought a grill today. I had been grilling on a little $20 grill that people usually use for tailgating. Now I just need to put it together. Aren't you jealous of my life? Guess I won't put away that $20 grill just yet.

The rest of my bedroom set is getting delivered today - look for pictures in the next couple of days. I am hoping they get here early so I can catch a concert in downtown Raleigh. Today they are having The Connells and The Spin Doctors. I am more excited about The Connells who are from Raleigh - flashback to the '90s for me. This is my favorite song of theirs: Slackjawed

Raleigh Concert Series - It is rather impressive as far as free concerts go

Hello - I have taken it as my personal mission to help the Raleigh/Durham economy this weekend. I spent Friday afternoon (skipped out of work early) killing time before my hair cut appointment at Southpoint Mall. I am now a huge fan of Hudson Belk (similar to Marshall Fields). On Saturday I decided to check out the Crabtree Mall in Raleigh.

I read a review for a smaller Theatre Company ( Common Ground Theatre ) and decided to check it out on Saturday night. It was a quaint little theatre which was sold out due to the review. I was lucky enough to have called ahead for tickets to Abigal's Party. I could not believe that it is only 3 miles from my house and the tickets were so reasonable. I will definitely be going back to see more productions.

Today I went to 'Festival for the Eno'. I live right by the Eno State Park. The Festival was great - they had five different music stages. I caught a great band called 'Donna the Buffalo'. They reminded me a lot of the Jayhawks.

It is back to work tomorrow and then off on Tuesday. I will be back in Minnesota from August 11th through August 20th. I have the Titanic Room at Kieran's Irish Pub booked for a party on August 17th - evite coming soon (that is if I have your email address).

Hope all is well - Have a Safe 4th of July
    Carol
